Although professional development programs for engineers might concentrate on one skill set, it is advisable to choose a program that gives a broader perspective and promotes self-managed lifelong professional development. Engineers should also adopt a structured development plan that would demonstrate your commitment to your profession, and should also develop the habit of regularly reviewing your skills and expertise.
