Each of us makes our decisions differently. For those people that are we call 'visual people', scrapbooks can help create the sale. Seeing an item in a catalog is very different than seeing an item in a true setting, a real picture.
When my mom and dad installed their air conditioner unit a few years ago, they had a lot of questions about the size, how much space it took up, and exactly how it would look in their home. The business owner ended up calling a few of his previous customers and asking if my parent's could come over and view the unit both inside and outside. While the customers said yes, we have no way of knowing how many might have said no. My mom and dad felt a little 'funny' going into a stranger's home to view the air conditioning unit, but the catalog just was not giving my folks the view they wanted.
What if the business owner had taken photos instead? A few photos taken close up and a few photos taken from a distance might have provided my parents with the visual image they were looking for. If a scrapbook can help potential customers create the visual image they need to make their buying decision, previous customers will not need to be called and asked to allow strangers into their home.
Try using a scrapbook in your air conditioning business and see if customers make buying decisions based on the visual images you are providing them. |
