A place for all:

When you design your landscape keep in mind the needs of all family members. If you have small kids then they would need a play area and older kids may need areas for sports and hobbies. Perhaps you would want a gardening area, or a place for outdoor entertaining where you can entertain your friends but dont forget the basic necessities like area for clothes drying, trashcans etc. Service areas should be screened from the other areas of the yard or house, and be easily accessible from the kitchen or garage. This will help narrow down the possible landscape designs best suited to your needs.
